Derek Ewin has spent over 29 years prosecuting and defending DUI cases in the Contra Costa County Superior Courts. During his nearly 13 years as a Contra Costa Deputy District Attorney, he handled hundreds of Drunk Driving and DUI cases in all of the county courthouses including, Walnut Creek, Richmond (Bay), Pittsburg (Delta) and Martinez. His duties ranged from reviewing and filing cases, to negotiating with attorneys and judges, to prosecuting motions and jury trials, to sentencing and appeals.
